The music is old. Inspired by the first couple of chords to Elvis Costello's "Long Honeymoon." I finished the song after I read "The Lucifer Principle" by Howard Bloom, another thing "Infinity Factory" (disinfo.com) turned me on to. It was written around the Colombine Massacre and there is some philosophy of The Process Church of Final Judgement.
Evil isn't supernatural. It's part of nature's way. People die everyday, afterall, from old age and decay. And justice is defined by the victors and their allies and freedom comes to those who had strength to win and chose to. Pecking order kills the weaker ones. So goes nature's plan. Pain inspires the weak to pick up guns and massacre the man. The highest on the foodchain. There's nothing left but bloodstains. The struggle for survival. The lover kills his rival. Things must die for better things to grow instead so life evolves. This implies that there is progress where there may not be some. Chaos may be the outcome. The answers are beyond us. The universe has conned us. God and Satan are a single one. Never so escape. Trapped together burning like the sun. In the arms of fate.
