Story behind the song
When my daughter, Heather, was an infant, it was a rainy day and she was crying. I picked up my guitar and began singing to her making the words up and she stopped crying and smiled.
Lyrics
Baby’s Looking Beautiful (Ed Rhoades) Listen to that falling rain dancing on the window pane again Reminds me of a time or two we both knew back when Baby’s looking beautiful again Baby’s looking beautiful again Baby’s looking beautiful again You know how much I need you, you know that I will treat you right And it would be so fine to hold you one more time through the night Baby’s looking beautiful again Baby’s looking beautiful again Baby’s looking beautiful again Listen to that falling rain dancing on the window pane again And it would be so fine to hold you one more time and be your friend Baby’s looking beautiful again Baby’s looking beautiful again Baby’s looking beautiful again
