We have hope in all things if we listen for and to the voice of God in His son, Jesus. It is meant to be an uplifting reminder that Jesus is coming and is based upon Isaiah 2:2-5.
Isaiah is one of my favorite prophets and his writings have inspired me since I returned to the church 15 years ago.
IF WE LISTEN (Isaiah 2:2-5)
Lynn Geyer and Mark Godwin
We stand at the mountain waiting for the Word,
Hope for all nations.
Will what is said be heard?
A voice calls from the darkness
and speaks to us of peace:
When we understand forgiveness,
The hate we’ve learned will cease
* If we listen,
we will learn all we need to know.
If we listen,
we will travel where we need to go.
If we ask Him, He will teach us.
If we follow He will lead us;
From darkness He will free us,
If we listen.
The ancient words say one will come
To end all death and war
And bring a new commandment
To love each other more.
All weapons will be cast away
To end the dark and fear.
The light will shine and guide the path
To all that we must hear.*
