Story behind the song
The song was initially an experiment with loops, using a mutilated chunk of "She is Drowning" (from Insomnia Stone) as a starting point. The Huygens probe landing on Titan was in the forefront of my mind when I did the initial version of this track; in particular I had downloaded the audio samples recorded by the probe as it decended to the moon's surface. The sound was fairly static, but to me carried immense weight; it was the first time I'd heard the ambience of another world. Anyway, I called this song 'Hymn' not out of any religious interests, but rather out of reverence for the universe. If that sounds pretentious, it's probably because I'm explaining it really badly. The icon for this song is from the mosiac that NASA did from the Titan images.
