The Living Guilt is about the crime we make of our own lives after the loss of someone we love.
This song came to me on a Sunday Morning. I remember clearly this haunting, ragtime piano sound playing in my curious ears. It had to be the key start up of the song. The strings during the verses signify the angels flight of a soul's passing. And when the song reaches to the verse, "And I roam...", it is like this galloping effect of the living souls who remain on earth...roaming ever so lost. This song is one of my most emotional of the songs captured so far.
I'm guilty...for a feeling inside,
And the tears I must hide.
Humility...for how I live this life,
Through your death out of spite.
For what I thought this world was safe,
Has taken you now far from this place...
...I'm missing you more...A love now adored...
I know that nothing's gonna save this soul...
As I stare out with glossy eyes...and roam...
And I roam...
The ability...I try to move on,
And I'm forced to be strong.
The strategy...has changed since you've gone,
And I know it sounds wrong.
For what I thought this world was safe,
Has taken you now far from this place...
The words I swallow that should have been said,
Is left in silence to the dead...
...I'm missing you more...A love now adored...
I know that nothing's gonna save this soul...
As I stare out with glossy eyes...and roam...
And I roam...And I roam...And I roam...
I'm guilty...for a feeling inside,
And the tears I must hide...
...I'm missing you more...A love now adored...
I know that nothing's gonna save this soul...
As I stare out with glossy eyes...and roam...
And I roam...And I roam...And I roam...
