Story behind the song
I wrote this originally in the 80's with a mate as a Paul Young style pop piece and recorded it on a 4 track. I tackled this again recently to give it extra instrumentation and exercise the growing collection of freebie softsynths and samples I have amassed.
I have stayed true to its original era with the slapbass and cheesy synth brass but pushed it even further retro with the Hammond organ motif that surfaces here and there.
The guitar pieces were recorded using my latest toy an Epi 335 archtop.
