Story behind the song
Lot's of people don't believe Jesus was the son of God,or Jesus is God. This is a fact that is hard for the human mind set to understand, even God being real is hard for the natural mind set of a human( carnal mind ) to understand. The source of life is in the blood. So God came in the likeness of sinful flesh to shed His blood for the blood that was required of sinful flesh( HUMAN BEINGS ). ( Lose your blood Lose your life ). Blood is the proof of lose life in the Old testament sacrifices of goats, lambs ect. The animal life being a atonement for the sinner's life, leaving the sinner justified in the sight of God but the sinner's mind was not free. Why? because he had to sacrifice every year to be justified of his or he sin's, this reminded the sinner year after year of his sins.So same as Jesus life being a final or last atonement for a sinner's life so if a sinner know repents of his sins turn and trust Jesus for what he has done for him in His life, death and ressurection, the sinner mind know becomes free from the sin and their is no more reminders and no more guilty conscience ( FREED BY THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT ). Jesus is the last and final sacrifice made by GOD not man. The blood of Jesus covers the sin's of the sinner, God looks at the blood Jesus that covers the sinner not the sinner. Are YOU covered in the blood of the SON OF GOD.
