Story behind the song
Back in Sept. 04 we were approached about doing a song for a
Christmas compilation CD, so we decided to record two songs. The first,
'Happy Holidays 2 U" I wrote with Scott and the only guidlines we were
given were, not to make the lyrics to specific about X-Mas or St. Nick,
Kwanzaa or even Hanukkah! So, I wrote about what I think about during
the holidays and that's friends and loved ones, past and present... or is
that presents? Scott Provided the cool build up and ending for the tune.
The second tune we recorded is a cover of Elvis Presleys' "Santa Bring My
Baby Back (To Me)" from the classic Elvis' Christmas Album. As a kid and even
to this day, my family plays Elvis' Christmas Album all the time during the holidays.
It was also a favorite in the Carr household as well, so it seemed like a fitting
cover for us to do.
