Music... My entire life, music has been the "driving force" in everything that I've done. I started taking piano lessons at the age of 6, played in bands all through high school, graduated with a degree in piano from college, and all the while learned as much as I could about the recording studio by working as a session musician and learning the art of recording. To me, music can be visualized by colors. Every sound that you hear has a particular color attached to it and likewise, so does every emotion. That's what I'm attempting to capture in my music. I want to take emotions that are a part of one's natural life and "paint" a picture into my musical landscapes. Before I write a song, I name it. That name is a "hint" as to what I was thinking of. Then the sounds that I used, the melody, the counter-melodies, rhythms, etc. are all part of the final scene. I hope you enjoy my attempts at capturing an emotion for a moment in time....

Story behind the song
I had on a pair of sunglasses, lying on a blanket, glass of lemon tea, the weather was perfect, and the sun felt great. My favorite music was playing through my headphones. Not a care in the world. I was digging it. Within minutes, I received a phone call that my Aunt was extremely sick, I knocked over my drink, jumped up and quickly got a migraine headache. I immediately headed for the hospital to see what I could do, even if it was only for moral support. On the way to the hospital , I rolled down my window, opting for fresh air vs. my air conditioner, and it struck me. No matter what, I was still under the sun. The realization hit me smack in the face. In spite of any circumstance, we're all “under the sun”, so we've got to make the best of it and think positive. I put my arm out the window and enjoyed the sun, I thought good feelings about my aunt, and it turned out that she was OK. So, this song goes through several diverse sections of movements, from light jazz, to more barren rock idioms, and finally ends up with a light but understanding of the fact that no matter where you are on this planet; you’re always “Under the Sun”.
