Lyrics: Robert Baitinger
This heartfelt song is about losing someone who really meant a lot to you at some point of time in your life. Someone you spent precious time with. It's not supposed to be a sad song. It's about remembering the good times with that person. I wrote these simple and timeless lyrics in the late 70s. I was aware that I would soon be leaving the small town I grew up in and never see many of my dear friends again with whom I shared good times, precious times and memories. This is a tribute to all of the friends of my past. With you, it was all so nice.
It Was All So Nice
[Verse]
Sunrise in the morning
Moonlight in the night
With you, it was all so nice
[Verse]
Walking through the forest
Hearing the winds blow
With you, it was all so nice
[Chorus]
Time, it slips away
Like shadows in the light of day
I wish I could rewind
Turn back the hands of time
I'll hold you in my heart
And remember from the start
With you, it was all so nice
It was all so nice
[Verse]
We didn't have a worry
Didn't have a care
With you, it was all so nice
[Verse]
Together we once cherished
Those precious days
With you, it was all so nice
[Chorus]
Time, it slips away
Like shadows in the light of day
I wish I could rewind
Turn back the hands of time
I'll hold you in my heart
And remember from the start
With you, it was all so nice
It was all so nice
[Interlude]
With you, it was all so nice
It was all so nice
[Verse]
Now these days are over
All there's left to do
Remember, it was all so nice
[Chorus]
Time, it slips away
Like shadows in the light of day
I wish I could rewind
Turn back the hands of time
I'll hold you in my heart
And remember from the start
With you, it was all so nice
It was all so nice
[Outro]
With you, it was all so nice
It was all so nice
With you, it was all so nice
It was all so nice
