I was pondering the need for the W3C to add a GV tag to the HTML standard so that folks could envision gratuitous vulgarity added to words or phrases the way the "strong" tag adds bolding.
It's a really stupid idea.
But anyway here's the song that resulted.
Thanks go to PGMusic for providing the side men.
Fans up in the stands
are chanting taunts that fill the air
with gratuitous vulgarity
Stars with fancy cars
are bleeped and bleeped and bleeped again
for gratuitous vulgarity
Shirts with dirty words
now seem to have a very trendy quality
Forget innuendo
it doesn't offend so
instead its gratuitous vulgarity
(spoken) Mr. Wes Montgomery (16 bar guitar solo)
(spoken) Mr. Miles Davis (16 bar trumpet solo)
(spoken) Mr. Lionel Hampton (16 bar vibes solo)
(spoken) Mr. Pete Fountain (16 bar clarinet solo)
Jokes by cable folks
can't seem to get played on the air
without gratuitous vulgarity
Flicks to sell more tix
and get that PG-13 seal
add gratuitous vulgarity
Crass decals on glass
portray a urinating child for all to see
forget innuendo
it doesn't offend so
instead its gratuitous vulgarity
Forget innuendo
it doesn't offend so
instead its gratuitous vulgarity
