A song about the Bible
I was thinking about how God writes letters in people, in the Bible, in nature. It's like he leaves post-it notes everywhere. Pick them up and read.
I got your letter,
It saved my soul.
A message from,
Eternity's throne.
It seemed brand new,
Like it had no age
For I Felt your heart,
Shining off the page.
And skeptics say,
It's just my mind.
But I'm not that clever,
And I'm not that kind.
I got your letter!
I read your letter,
Studied every line.
And it cut my heart,
Time after time.
The past and future,
And the now combined.
Blended three in one,
So strong so wise.
Alpha, omega!
First breath and last!
Lord of the present,
Future and past,
I read your letter!
I got your letter,
Firmly in my mind.
Want it hid in my heart,
But it will take time.
Wish I was like Enoch,
Walk a year each day.
Three sixty five,
And still have more to pray.
Walking through twilight,
Into light beyond.
Into resurrection,
With the Son of God:
I got your letter!
I don't understand,
Why you love us so much,
Precious, Lord!
Every man, every child,
Every woman, everyone that was ever born.
You love everyone on earth,
And you sent this letter to show their worth:
Did you get the Letter?
