Hey there Gus! InCide. The meaning of the name is dead inside - emotionally dead. The band was formed pretty much by accident. Members, Scott Duniphin, Ryan Hales, Bobby Case, and Sean Autry were all guitar players jamming together for the hell of it. One day Sean got drums, Scott and Ryan started going to Sean's to jam, Ryan playing the guitar and Scott singing. Later the three added the talent of Bobby Case. Bobby had been friends with them for years and asked if he could try out to be a second guitarist. Unfortunately (actually VERY fortunate), the amp Bobby was using that day wasn't working. Setting his guitar down Bobby picked up a bass lying near by and started playing. They've been a band ever since. After playing everyday for four months the guys named the band Drezden 9 and played their first show. The show was pretty good; someone got their nose broke so the band was pretty happy! Soon after they hooked a show up in Anchorage where they met a few cool people and through them they booked more shows. Shortly after that Drezden 9 became InCide. Why? While recording at Area 51 Studios in Kenai they discovered there was a signed band named Drezden; to avoid any complications with them the name was changed. Now they are InCide - their music is slow and heavy. Their lyrics reflect personal experiences of pain, loss and emotional destruction. If you have a chance to catch these guys live DO IT!
