Story behind the song
When I first wrote the lyrics for this song, I titled it "Sentimental Suicide". Doodle was in a band at the time called "Insult 2 Injury" (which I came up with the name by the way) and they were looking for lyrics for a song they wrote music for, but couldn't use the lyrics they had. So I offered this song, and with some modifications to the lyrics, Doodle and the band reworked it to become "Welcome To The End". This became the first and only Heavy Metal song recorded using my lyrics.
Insult 2 Injury (I2I) featured Doodle on lead vocals. The verses were written by Troy, while Insult 2 Injury wrote the chorus.
