I write poems, my boyfriend is a musician, I can sing a bit. He wears a black leather 1960s New York policeman's jacket, I bouffant my hair and wear too much eyeliner. Out now: "Laundrette Love Songs" Featuring all the tracks you can find here plus a cover of The Velvet Underground's "Femme Fatale". Story behind the song
Another of my bloody poems. This one was called 'Starlet In A Dustbin'. I have a 'thing' for faded glamour, which is partly what my novel 'Blues For Melody Chance' is about. Think of Billie Holiday singing 'Sophisticated Lady', think of Nico singing 'All Tomorrow's Parties'. The tragedy of a discarded sequinned dress, the despair of the ripped fliers that flutter in the breeze on the bottle bank in the Tesco carpark, etc.
