Story behind the song
The John 3:16 part of the song came to me in a dream (words and music). I developed this part of the song first, but then moved it into a file that had the string of chords that forms the first part of the song. The chords seem to go together to me; so, in composing the words, I thought about our present situation in America. It seems like weve done everything we can do. But, we can still pray and God often acts on behalf of His people just in the nick of time (i.e. the angel released Peter from prison the night before he was to be executed).
