Story behind the song
This song was composed in December 2020, just as the coronavirus was being spread around the world. It is based on Matthew 9:36 and Romans 5:8-9. Because of Jesus' compassion for fallen mankind, he died on a cross, forgiving our sins and giving us the opportunity to have eternal life in Heaven.

When Jesus saw the multitudes, He had compassion on them
For they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd.
Then He taught them the Word and healed their sick, and even raised the dead.
All were amazed at what they had heard, for He taught with authority.
For when we were still without strength, Jesus died for us
Scarce for a good man would one die, but Christ loved us so,
That He suffered a cruel death on the cross to restore us to God
For as by one man sin came to the world, so by One we're redeemed
Only through Jesus can we have eternal life in Heaven
