This is another song that came to me in a dream on 11/25/20. It was a dream of going home to church and some people I vaguely remember, many I didnt know; some welcoming Christ into their midst, others concerned about earthly scandal, casting blame, not putting good construction on anything. Some who I vaguely recognized who had never been to that church before, and were not welcomed, had to go into an adjoining room; did not receive anything from the church, so got out their own entertainment, which included alcohol; drew as much of a crowd as those in the main section. In the main section a case was set aside for giving to a good cause, but it was not their firstfruits; much of it was rotting corn. The message of the dream is that our religion must be genuine and show people the Savior that they need to know.
Sitting in Bible Class one day, I heard some people talking about foreign missions
Some seemed to care, but others would not put good construction on anything
Even in church there are sheep and goats; I can hear Jesus say
Who? Who? Who wants My Lordship in their life?
I do. I want Your Lordship in my life. I want Your Lordship, I want Your Lordship in my life.
There in church were some old hands and some that were new
When people come to Gods house, will they feel welcome
A man of some authority rose and paid lip service to the missions project
But on closer inspection, the gifts that he brought were just rotting fruit
As God takes a look at our wild oats; I can hear Jesus say
Who? Who? Who wants My Lordship in their life?
I do. I want Your Lordship in my life. I want Your Lordship, I want Your Lordship in my life.
There were some visitors who came for the first time
As no one received them, they sat in a separate room
When people examine our faith, will they see something that imitates our Savior
A genuine love and compassion is what they need to see in us
Helping to build their trust; I can hear Jesus say
Who? Who? Who wants My Lordship in their life?
I do. I want Your Lordship in my life. I want Your Lordship, I want Your Lordship in my life.
