"A Blurred Sense Of Divine" The New Nobis Album From Grammy Nominated Producer Josh Wilbur
nobis melee xact records
metal metalcore hardcore new england music hard rock nobis melee xact records
For nearly four years, the members of Nobis (formerly Melee) have been scouring the infected ears of northern New England heavy metal fans. These ears, already tainted by the misleading interpretation of what modern day metal is all about, have taken greatly to the cleansing. An impressive resume of national acts including Anthrax, Life of Agony, Dog Fashion Disco, RA, Dry Kill Logic etc. compliments an already unmatched live assault of sonic power, leaving any attending a Nobis show walking away with a sense of fulfillment. Grammy Nominated Producer/Engineer, Joshua Wilbur, once again has teamed up with Nobis, this time for their first full-length effort, A Blurred Sense of Divine, due to hit the public in the summer of 2004 through Xact Records / OSK Productions. All it takes is one song for a listener to realize that Nobis is here to let their brand burn deep into the skin of the heavy music industry. Sit still, the pain is only temporary, the sound is forever.

Lyrics
It's a crying shame what some eyes must see What I thought was just T.V. Took a sharp turn toward reality Exposing me To the inhumanity that so many live with each day We represent freedom yet we harbor these slaves Run down and withered inside Pounding oneself to the ground under flourescent light Sixty-plus hours per week for just pennies to survive (brand name slave) Low operation and labor costs, send the the work overseas Where governments seem to fold giving rise to atrocity Rules and regulations need not apply We'll squeeze the life out of already lifeless souls Work them for what little they're worth mistake greed for pride What you get at some select stores may just be a product of immorality, just some food for thought Liveable wage divided by a few cents a day doesn't even out Time to reinvent the standards of humanity Run down and withered inside Pounding oneself to the ground under flourescent light Sixty-plus hours per week for just pennies to survive (brand name slave) Third word nations, now our homeland, an unpleasant surprise You'd have to see it with your own eyes, this is true life And I've seen all that I care to see, time for a change, walk the plank fall into history drown in the sea of ignominy Run down and withered inside pounding oneself to the ground under flourescent light Sixty-plus hours per week for just pennies to survive (brand name slave)
