Story behind the song
Each day we take certain things into our minds and bodies. For the most part, the mind controls the body. But, both are gifts of God to us. He has a great plan for our lives. These plans are fully realized if we listen to and follow Him. On the other hand, Satan wants to subvert those plans and destroy us. The more we study God's word, the better we will be able to distinguish between which inputs come from God and which inputs are coming from Satan. If you can have great peace even in the midst of turmoil, it's likely that you have been listening to God's inputs. This is my humble attempt to convey that message through song.

Inputs began when the Holy Trinity decided to make man in His own image.
Out of the dust, God created man and put in all we need; life to engage.
Needs of our bodies, like eating and exercise, come into us without too much thought.
What enters our minds, because God gives us choice, makes for some battles that are hard fought.
God, as Creator, came first to mans mind, showing him how to live.
Then came the serpent, with his goal to blind, man from the truth God did give.
He deceived Eve when she listened to him, ate forbidden fruit and fell into sin.
This was the start of all earthly strife, but God came to them with a promise of life.
Hed send a Savior from the womans seed, Jesus would give the life that we need.
Weve seen what sin does, and continues to do, to the world, but still we must choose
To listen to God and His promises true, or listen to Satan with so much to lose.
Satan speaks to us through the mainstream news; trying to plant fear in my head.
But God speaks to us through Creations views; to trust in His faithfulness instead.
We see all Gods beauty in earth, sea, and sky, which often causes me to question why
We dont simply trust Him, heedless of fear, thanking Him for every day, month, and year?
