A blues-rock song about a man fed up with his cheating girl
This first effort, at age 16 (1970), at writing a blues song after several years of 'going to school' by listening to some of my all-time favorite blues artists.
Somethings got to change,
Ive had enough of your lies
I can see it right now,
looking in your eyes
Youve been out and about,
doing your thing
I know what youre up to baby,
Im going to clip your wings
Because something, yeah something, has to change
Youre telling everybody
that Im acting mighty strange
I dont know where its coming from
but babe its got to change
All I ever did was buy you that Cadillac
All I ever did was wrap that fur around your back
Because something, yeah something, has to change
Because something, yeah something, has to change
You left me Sunday morning,
said you wouldn't be back again
Now it's Tuesday afternoon,
here you are with your new man
I've had it up to here,
don't you bother to come near
Because something, yeah something, has to change
Because something, yeah something, has to change
