Story behind the song
My life when I lived in a small Camper truck.
Lyrics
I gave a notice at the place where I live gotta be something better than living like this So I said good-by to the life I once knew with an old camper truck and new how do you do's Now I'm headin out to the big Rodeo where my back yard's the world and my wind shield the road With my old Martin guitar and a few dollar bills a new take on my pension gives me a new thrill Chorus: I'm a Parking lot Gringo I live where I'm at if I don't like my neighbors I just step on the gas A Gypsy they say cause I don't fit in I keep my nose to the grinder 'n my back to the wind I got no rent no Hydro no phone bill to pay good-by to the Mice I said have a nice day And give my Adieus to the Girls at Tim Hortons don'r cry for me I'm just a stone that's a rollin I'm a modern day Hobo in a Boxcar with class my wheels are all rubber don't need railroad tracks And my out-house is inside and it's great I love beans I got propane to heat me and it's a lovin machine Now I'm the Pied Piper conducting the band the lamp lighter who lights up the night in the land My credentials are plenty as you oughta know I'm a long list of Hobos and Kings of the road Now the North wind blows cold and soon it will snow Gotta head to Florida 'n get this show on the road But one things for certain when I get to where I'm at I'll find me a spot where me 'n my old truck can squat By: Paul Henry Dallaire SOCAN.CA
