Story behind the song
This version updates the posting from July of this year. I substituted the lead track on the Levin Deluxe with one from my TP Noble Strat through Boss GT 100 using a guitar-synth like overtone effect. The result is a more fusion-sounding piece, but so far, I'm liking it. This rendition is an outgrowth of "Bombastic Blather of Budget Hawks," a much rockier performance. As was "Blather", the July posting was an Independence Day response to Mitch McConnell and the clowns in the Senate and their idiotic but ineffectual posturing against the ACA. The September posting substitutes the Noble strat for the Levin Deluxe, on top of rhythm from the Levin and Godin New Yorker, unadorned fretless Fender P Bass, Hydrogen drums, and a percussion loop and cymbal crash (at the end) from PreSonus.
