Story behind the song
This tune started with the title - "Cognitive Dissonance." It took me about five years to come up with a melody that fit. I added lots of key changes and guitar parts to give it that dissonant edge. As I was finishing the song, I needed music for a skateboard video I was making for my son. So I made the final part of the song fast and edgy to sound like "skateboard music." Finally, I wasn't happy with my solo, so Steve Steinberg, who is that band teacher at Miller Creek Middle School, was kind enough to add an amazing solo brought the music quality up a notch!
