Story behind the song
While learning to play the banjo I somehow came up with the tune for this song and then wrote the lyrics to fit.
Lyrics
Someone told me a long time ago ... I'd be a fool to ever let you go I was stubborn and didn't listen though ... now everyone says I told you so. Missing you now that you're gone ... like the morning light without dawn I want to tell you in this song ... you were right and I was wrong you were right and I was wrong. You said can't take this any more ... walked out and slammed the door I said you'll be back of that I'm sure ... like so many times before Missing you now that you're gone ... like the morning light without dawn I want to tell you in this song ... you were right and I was wrong you were right and I was wrong. Fussing and fighting all the time ... say I'm sorry it's the same old line We make up and it'll be just fine ... then it's the same old paradigm Missing you now that you're gone ... like the morning light without dawn I want to tell you in this song ... you were right and I was wrong you were right and I was wrong ... you were so right and I was so wrong
