Modern pop-rock with a slight hint of Eighties and Nineties alternative.
Oldmangrady is a constantly evolving musical project that I torture myself with. There have been several line-up and style changes over the years. For the time being, Oldmangrady is Lee Modlin.

Story behind the song
This one started out as a country ballad by way of Social Distortion. At some point it just turned into a straight ahead rock song.
Lyrics
Verse 1 Another Sunday morning, fall out of bed with last night's demons on the brain. Two cups of coffee but I still can't clear my head, the sunrise hits me like a train. Pre-Chorus 1 I pull the curtains, try to hide the light I try to make it go away. I hear You whisper through the noise and strife, “Son won't you follow Me today?” Chorus You know I'll carry you right through the fires of hell. I'll never leave you on your own. My strength is with you and My peace will never end. Take My hand, I'll lead you home. Verse 2 On my knees again, just like I was before this time I'm praying for a change. Don't want this chaos, I can't take it anymore Oh Lord, I'm calling out Your name. Pre-Chorus 2 Open the curtains and let in the light Don't let it ever go away. Jesus You brought me through the endless night. I put my trust in You today. Chorus I know You'll carry me right through the fires of hell. You'll never leave me on my own. Your strength is with me and Your peace will never end. Lord take my hand and lead me home.
