now the dollar's up we're so lucky to be where we are
look at Africa, "starving children" and "ebola"
and our neighbour down south they're loosing an Arm's Race to North Korea
everybody's got it bad
but we up north, we ain't so sad
everybody's gotta work for their freedom
so we put on our favorite jammies and turn on CTV
minimum wage, universal health care
thanks to the dairy farms we've all got more than our share
what, the homeless? we donate our brands to show we care
separatist agendas, why not just laissez-faire

everybody's gotta vote for their freedom
so we stick with our guts
