A heart-felt, reconciliation song written for my parents during times of trouble.

When I was in college, I began to go down the wrong path and got involved with drugs. When my parents found out, I felt horrible for deceiving them during that time. I stopped using drugs and then wrote this song as an apology to them, for putting them through everything I did. Since then, our relationship has grown a lot stronger, they have forgiven me for all I did, and this has become their favorite song by me.
The lying will stop now
But the pain will live on
problems will keep me in line now for tomorrow
The hopes will grow stronger
The fear will replace
Questions of doubt will linger in my face
Chorus
And I can see it written in your eyes
full of wonder and surprise
but just give me a chance and I'll take the chance
and I'll try to make things right
and I can see it written in your eyes
so cold so cold as ice
but just give me a chance and I'll take the chance
and I'll try to make things right oh
Some time will be needed
to strengthen myself
to get back on top now
I'll try
I'll do my best now
I'll give it my all
I'll do it for you and only for you
Chorus
