Over the course of 69-70, Jimi Hendrix appeared at his most noted live appearances Live at Woodstock, Live at Berkeley, and Live at the Fillmore East using a mysterious red Fuzz Face with white knobs. I demoed Jim Dunlop's recreation of that FF.....
The engineers at Jim Dunlop came up with the Band of Gypsys Fuzz Face Mini Distortion Pedal. (New Toy 4 Baby Jimi!!! - lol)
Intrigued with the notion that "Machine Gun" like tones could be had at a lower volume on a practice amp I jumped at the chance when I was asked to demo the new "Mr Red" (as I call it) along with Jim Dunlap's take on the 1967 Vox "Clyde McCoy" Wah-Wah Pedal.
Now that you're bored but people ask me these "Jimi Gear" questions, so I thought I'd take some time for a small history lesson.....
So from the "Lo-Lo" Sessions on 15Apr15 using my Gibson Les Paul Special (Sorry, My 69' Strat....Ms. Dirty Bird Needed New Strings) - Here's Goes Nothing....
Just Came Back From.......Mexicali
