Early the next morning we returned for another day at Matava. Only a short time after we began a deep survey near the South draw, our instruments developed anomalies that could not be cleared. An electro-magnetic disturbance would not allow any settings to be documented or any data to be logged or saved. This continued for several minutes and then just as mysteriously the problem corrected itself and we were able to proceed without further interference. When we asked our Anterran guide about the occurence, he just slyly grinned and said "Somethings are just Obvious To Mystery." To this day I have no idea the meaning of his words.
