For over 40 years I played lead guitar and did back-up vocals in various country bands. It has been one of the greatest thrills of my life. But, these days I stay at home and compose songs, both lyrics and music. My writing style is much broader than just country music. I also write southern rock, a little blues, lots of smooth jazz and movie themes and even some latin music. I have been writing for about 20 years and hope to for quite a few more years.

Lyrics
Come To Me Softly Tonight (c) 2014 Alan D. David, BMI (v1) Come to me softly, let me feel you near I'll say the things I know you love to hear How much I need you, and you're my guiding light Come to me softly tonight (v2) Come to me softly, let me kiss your lips And feel the tingle, within your fingertips You are the alter that makes my world so right Come to me softly tonight REFRAIN You are the power that lifts me when I'm down Without you I'm frail and weak Before your love I was lost but now I'm found Yes I am strong I'm no longer meek (v3) Come to me softly, let me feel your love Your smile is softer than the cooing of the dove When I'm confused you give me wisdom's sight Come to me softly tonight REFRAIN You are the power that lifts me when I'm down Without you I'm frail and weak Before your love I was lost but now I'm found Yes I am strong I'm no longer meek (v3) Come to me softly, let me feel your love Your smile is softer than the cooing of the dove When I'm confused you give me wisdom's sight Come to me softly tonight Come to me softly to night
