This song is all about change and the painful way it seems to present itself. I wrote My Life, Your Life as the end of a recording project in 2005 with the hopes of capturing the subtle way that change enters our lives and seems to bring chaos in its wake. In July of 2013, I edited one final version of the track and it resides here at its new home. I hope you enjoy this final edited version of "My Life, Your Life". The lyrics say it all, and I feel the guitar work compliments the theme. When the song ends I hope you find the same inspiration I did to say, "Bring that sh*t on!" when life is beating you down with changes.
For reasons obcured,
The season is passing on
And changes become realized.
So I turn away.
Your choice to be apart from me,
A choice you won't explain,
Is the end of all we knew.
There's no easy cure
When everything's said and done
And pain has become realized.
So I turn away.
Your voice won't heal or comfort me,
Your words won't ease the pain
As the season breathes anew.
You live your life,
I'll live mine again.
My life, your life
Lived apart again.
You live your life,
I'll live mine again.
My life, your life
Lived apart again.
(Guitar leads and brigde)
You live your life,
I'll live mine again.
My life, your life
Lived apart again.
You live your life,
I'll live mine again.
My life, your life
Lived apart again.
