Story behind the song
As usual during recording sessions for a new album, i am constantly on the keyboard (or the guitar) looking for new riffs and melodies! I started playing the chords on the piano and the song just came to me as if it was waiting to be written, and was written in about 20 minutes. There was a bridge in the song but i decided to take it out to keep it's simplicity! This is probably my favorite song on the "Breakthrough" album because of it's old school Doo-Wop late 60's style. (which i love) It has a happy feel good overtone to it. It puts you in a relaxed, laid back kinda mood. More importantly, it speaks of the overall goodness of God and a sincere love and appreciation of his goodness toward us. This song is very personal because it's me expressing how i feel about my God and inviting all others to recognize and appreciate his goodness to them as well! To feel the same way that i do! And to express that love and appreciation to God unashamedly through music!
