Realizing your current relationship is just not working.
Sitting on the couch of my girlfriend at the time, I was clutching my knees to my chest and trying to figure out why I wanted to be anywhere but there. She asked me what I was doing and I responded, "Leave me alone; I'm in my ball of discontent."
She was not pleased when I shouted, "Ball of Discontent!" and bolted out the door to go to the theater and write the song.
(Chorus):
I'm just a ball of discontent,
After all my time and energy have been spent.
I just don't know where the love went,
So I'm just a ball of discontent.
(Verse 1):
You say lay low for a while,
But I can't stay, gotta go when I see that smile.
And I don't know whose shoulder to cry on.
And I'll walk by in my flowy dress,
And I'll cry with every caress,
Cause she don't know what will be best for her.
(Chorus)
(Verse 2):
You say just wait, and it'll be just fine,
But my heart, it's racing, and we're losing time.
You make up rules that you refuse to abide by.
When will I find you, love?
You made me curl up, so unravel me please,
We faded, gave up, and now I'm weak in the knees.
Don't you tell me, "Stay Out", and then throw me your keys,
When will I find you, love?
(X2)
(Chorus)
When will I find you, love?
