I tried to get the sound of sailing the Caribbean Islands to escape these Winter blues.
We got 26 inches of snow in the blizzard Last week, I stayed up late the night it was snowing and wrote this song.
I needed to escape this winter madness so I wrote a song about the
warmest place I could think of, sailing on a boat in the Caribbean.
I dusted off my Grandfather's old classical guitar to get the sound of those nylon strings.
I made four guitar tracks and added a bass track and I was planning on adding a little percussion to give it that island feel and then I got carried away :) and ended up with another eight tracks of percussion loops.
I feel the warm sun on my face
Memory just gets erased,
I don't have a care,
Left them behind,
Can't wait to see what I will find,
The tall palm trees are swaying in the breeze,
I'm sailing into the setting sun
The full moon shining on the calm sea,
I'm sailing into the setting sun,
I hear waves crashing on the beach,
All I can feel is peace,
I smell sea salt in the air,
All my senses become aware,
I don't have a care,
Left them behind,
Can't wait to see what I will find,
The tall palm trees are swaying in the breeze,
I'm sailing into the setting sun
The full moon shining on the calm sea,
I'm sailing into the setting sun,
(Bridge) Solo
I see dolphins lead my way,
It's here I want to stay,
I taste, freedom everywhere,
Like a sweet love affair,
I don't have a care,
Left them behind,
Can't wait to see what I will find,
The tall palm trees are swaying in the breeze,
I'm sailing into the setting sun
The full moon shining on the calm sea,
I'm sailing into the setting sun,
