Hi, I'm Steve Cowell. I'm the leader of the group and I write all the words and music. I also play all the instruments and sing everything, which gets lonely at times, but at least there are few ego clashes and I get along pretty well with the other guys in the band most of the time. We all grew up together and have been playing music together since childhood.

Story behind the song
After many failed relationships, I finally found myself in one that works, but discovered I was totally unprepared for how to function without dysfunction. Like a long-term prisoner finally given his freedom, I found I didn't know the rules on the other side of the walls. Fortunately, my wife didn't either, so the playing field was level! This lyric resulted from our many talks about how to function in a happy marriage when neither of us had the training or experience previously.
