Story behind the song
This is actually a remake of a version recorded years ago, but lost the project files for it in a system crash. All that was left was a bad mix on cassette, and even that had dropouts in it.
Somehow found the drum track midi file for it just after I purchased my Digitech GNX2, fired it up and went for it. The inspiration for the title and theme of the tune is kinda funny, played a rough first draft for a buddy and he said, "Oh I like the "drowning chicken" sounds in the beginning!"
So there we went, imagining this drowning chicken while recording the leads...Poor chicken didn't make it in the end though, I'm sorry to say.
And that is how Drowning in Digital came to be. Enjoy...
