jazz funk blues jam impro
Artist picture
Jazz/Funk/Blues jam band. Feel the groove.
The Green Eggs and Ham was the brain-child of former Rivendell-rockers Jeremy Ferwerda, Brendan LaRoque, and Andrew Leach. We wanted to branch out to the world of funk and jazz, so the three of of started jamming one day. We really liked what we heard and started to make jams more frequent. It's all about the three of us having fun and bringing music to everybody who opens their ears. The Green Eggs and Ham are: Jeremy "James of the Groove" Ferwerda: Drums Brendan "Count Funkula" LaRoque: Guitar, Vocals Andrew "Dr. Funkenstein" Leach: Bass, Vocals

Story behind the song
This is a song Brendan and I (Andrew) wrote for a project about the Westward Expansion of the U.S. for US History II class. The lyrics are pretty cheesy, but it's a cool tune. This song features Brendan on vocals, acoustic, electric, and acoustic 12 string acoustic guitar and Andrew on bass and mandolin. The sound effects were recorded by Andrew and Brendan. It's a cheesy song, but oh well.
