Story behind the song
Song started as the basic bluesy guitar intro and developed from there. A song which was difficult to get to work because of the tempo and feel of the song... Ken. The lyrics for this song came about because of an endless series of misfortune that seemed to be dogging me for about a year. It's basically about wanting the perfect world where nothing breaks, everyone gets along, nothing goes wrong, theres always a cold beer in the fridge, a smile on the kids faces, but also the realisation that sometimes it goes a bit wrong and as long as i have my home/family throw at me what you will. As long as i can make it home I got all I need when i get there -my "One Dream World". It seemed to take an age to arrange this. We cut about a minute off it as it was too long and now when we play it live it gets rocked up midway through, which seems to work well, though my vocal chords would disagree!....Jim
