Satellite 3 started as a instrumental project with Justin Storie doing production and Joey Saha playing live instruments. As they kept making music they realized they needed a vocalist. Aaron Cook was then introduced to the band. Immediately it was decided the Aaron was the missing piece.

Story behind the song
The song was originally recorded by Aaron Cook in 2009 as an upbeat acoustic song. A mutual friend showed Justin Storie the song and one thing led to another and a band was formed. Work on a new version of Goodbye in 2010 that ended up as a dark electronic song. The song was scrapped and rewritten in late 2011 to its current version. 6 girls tried out for the female vocals. Allison Reith was selected. The song was held back for a few months while waiting for Ms. Reith to re-record the first part of vocals. The song was finally released on Valentine's Day 2012, with the original vocal take of Allison Reith. This marks the first release of 2012 and first of many upcoming songs since "Little Monsters".
