I am from Kalamazoo, Michigan born and raised graduated from Everett High School In Lansing, Michigan. Always knew I would entertain but when I was younger I wanted to be a pop star I use to sing and play the violin, viola, piano, and the guitar all before age 10. Memory gets a little fuzzy on exact age because somewhere in there I remember my life feeling like hell and listening to hip hop and soul because I felt those people felt my pain. Even then I wrote music but didn’t think about actually rapping and not singing until about 11th or 12th grade. When It got to a point to where I could see how my lyrics touched others in such a way I couldn’t deny myself any longer it just felt right, but I was afraid to pursue the dream because of fear of how people would perceive me if I told the truth about me and my life in my rhymes. That all changed when I recorded Paper Chase and it was released (which I did NOT want it to be released but I’m Thankful that Vance made that call :-) ) and it started to buzz pretty fast so I had to run with it and got some much positive feedback I didn’t care what people thought because someone out there needed me and my music like I needed Mary J Blidge, 2 Pac and Jay-Z when I felt like I had no one else who understood me.
