Story behind the song
The lyrics are from the perspective of an old man living in Haiti. Basically a "Hell in Paradise" kind of juxtaposition.
Lyrics
Sunshine take me somewhere I can be found In a gold mine soaking in your views In hard times I could trade these streets for a palm tree There's no white sand to soak my blues Biding my time to see the moonrise above me And the dark clouds fading on the wind Take me home The winds gusting by Take a look Why don't you sit while I follow my own, now Sunshine aint been seen in over a week now But in no time she'll be back @ home The whole time I'm thinking bout her she starts to warm me And the clouds once raining now are gone Strolling the beach walking the place that I come from As the people turn on me again Take me home... Trouble Gotta get away Trouble Gotta escape You make it clear (Trouble) I'm not welcome here (trouble) I disappear from view Sunshine following from old me to young me Yet still I seem to cry for early dawn In days they'll take me where you can't shine down on me I hope I can feel you when I'm gone Take me home... Trouble...
