My one and only bad boy song!
I wanted to try my hand at a "bad boy" song--and this is what popped out.
Guilty As Hell—Case Closed
There’s talk around town I’m a no-good, dirty thief
And everything I say is way beyond belief
They say I can’t be trusted hanging ‘round my best friend’s wife
And bad behavior is the story of my life
And can’t deny what everybody knows
I’m guilty as hell—case closed
Well, it ain’t no secret that I’ve done time behind bars
For driving over ninety in fancy, stolen cars
They say I gambled away my pay while owing child support
And for the hundredth time I found myself in court
The judge looked down and everybody rose
He said, “Guilty as hell—case closed!!!”
I never been a boyscout and I never claimed to be a saint
And I can’t pretend to be something I ain’t
Even as a child, my morals were below par:
I got caught red-handed with my hand in the cookie jar
My Grandma screamed and I just froze
I was guilty as hell—case closed
If you want “warm and fuzzy” then you’ve come to the wrong place
I’ve got “cold and craggy” written all over my face
And when a crime occurs, I’m the first one that they call
I save us both some time by confessing to it all
And when they take my mug shot, I strike a nice pose
‘cause I’m guilty as hell—case closed!
