In San Francisco Everyday is Halloween; Ted Kuster - guitar, Don Shearer - guitar, vocals
While working in the studio, Easter morning of 2011, recording demos for the original musical, magical, comedy, Kinda Boo, we had some down time, so Ted K and I sat down and did a couple of takes of Every Day is Halloween. This is one of them.
Verse
This town is somethin' special, you know it's true
if you're living here, then you're special too
we're all certified freaks from the cool, gray city of Love.
We got tattoos and cross-dressing, piercings and horns.
can a rose be beautiful if it has no thorns?
I like here, i don't care what the red necks say.
Verse
Now you got the Castro Street, the Folsom Street, the Union Street fairs
you got guys dressed as nuns with flaming orange hair
you got people in dog collars and dogs in fancy clothes
Well he might be a she, and she might be a he,
i might be you and you, and you might be me
sometimes it's hard to tell, and we may never
know.
Chorus
Now don't get me wrong, I like diversity
we're all part of one big family tree and if you're
not a little crazy then you got to be some kind of nut.
Ladies and gents and all of you in between
step up n’ strut your stuff, it's time for your big scene,
'cause in San Francisco, every day is Halloween.
Verse
We got tattoos and cross-dressing, piercings and horns.
can a rose be beautiful if it has no thorns?
I like here, I don't care what the red necks say.
You can keep your money, and your heaven above
I want to live in my cool gray, City of Love
'cause in San Francisco, every day is Halloween.
Chorus
