(The Forest Officer is talking to Large tree, who has been dressed and bandaged. He has been planting saplings, and is finishing up this work.)
I have gathered your seeds, and will plant them.
Eventually over time they will become like these saplings,
And I will replant them near by, close to you, in the earth.
Large Tree
Thank you for your thoughtfulness, Tree Uncle, and your act of kindness. They will be a comfort to me, I know.

I meditate on my boyhood
sometimes lost in thought
about the days past
the many times I
spent wondering what it would like,
to be all grown
and the day will come when
my life will fall, and I will drop like a leaf
but the forest makes me feel like I will be young forever
and while I fall asleep and never waken
my magical sweet dreams will not fade
but will live, enchanted, here,
and the rays of sunrise will
predict the happy days.
and the moon, floating up in the sky, will herald the nights,
while the shine of stars glitter upon the waters
A warm winds blows, Tree tops
Rustle high above me as if saying, “Time please wait!”
Spider webs are like tinsel of the forest
Flowers are like frozen fireworks.
Birds, like messengers of heaven,
Talk to me
Plants and animals of the forest green
Live and die, and the cycle of life is largely unseen.
Bringing life into the forest
Is enchanting.

Yes Forest Officer! Tobee and Spottu chased the sparrows and I and Sonu played in the river.

Tree is not in so much pain now.

Tree Uncle, there are lots of little fish in the river. Can I get some in my water bottle?
Forest Officer
Well, if you bring the fish home they will be away from their Mamma, Papa, and the big river where they can swim and play all day. Where will you keep them if you bring them home?
Ananya Lakshmi
Tree Uncle I can put them in my bath tub!
Forest Officer
That’s small compared to the large river. And will they not miss their Mamma and Papa? Would you like to stay away from Mamma or Papa for a long time?
Ananya Lakshmi
No Tree Uncle.
Forest Officer
Then why must they?
Well, tree! I must go! I recommend you get as much rest as you can. Sleep would be best!
Large tree
Yes I know.
Forest Officer
Good night!
Large Tree
Good night Tree Uncle. Thank you for all you have done!

I want to let everyone know that the woodcutter has already been found, and is being taken away to be punished.
(he leaves)
(Everyone claps their hands with joy).
Trees of the Forest
Just as the soul and spirit are hidden in the body,
The stars, distant and unreachable, hide in the
Light of the sky, no longer visible when the sun comes to shine.
So within the forest hides her creatures.
The deer and the unicorn
Shy and wild, are not seen by the eye.
When one goes to them, they run,
And in the forest they hide.
In the darkness of our fears,
When our lives approach the night,
The spirit of Holy Creation will shine.
Cares and worries will disappear,
Terror and fear will become invisible,
and all pain cease.
Just as the soul and spirit are hidden in the body,
The stars, distant and unreachable, hide in the
Light of the sky.
