Facing Winter (www.facingwinter.com) is a three-piece band from West Chicago, Illinois. Its core members, all 22 years old, include Justin Birchard (acoustic guitar/vocals), Jeff Goluszka (drums/percussion), and Liam Doyle (bass). The band in its current form started in 2003, although Justin has played under the name Facing Winter since 1999. The foundation of Facing Winter has been, and will always be friendship, and love for music. The music of Facing Winter is intelligent and heartfelt, blending melodic vocals and intricate rhythms to create a unique, organic sound.
