I wear a smile upon my teeth
To hold wet tears beneath my eyes
A rusty locket never better
Declares allegiance to my sorrow
Discarded in the wastebasket
Retrieved again a second time
Old filth and you clutched in my fists
The sour scent around my neck
I wore your face upon my chest
Until I found your head on his
I stared into your teary eyes
Saltwater onto my tongue
Locket’s faded yellow picture
Folded, Old and out of date,
Emotions timeless
And I’m the one to blame. Again and again.
