Story behind the song
This song was written after I was blown away at what people don't say even when you know they want to say something. Or the complete lack of action when you know they want to do something. I was waiting on my boyfriend to get home from a one year tour in Afghanistan, and instead of ever calling me and telling me he was okay or that he was home safe, I got a call from my best friend saying that she had seen him walking around in the mall back home. The whole time I was worried because I hadn't talked to him and he hadn't told me where he was. I waiting by the phone for days, sure not to crowd him, and two weeks later realized that I was never going to get a phone call to tell me he was okay and home safe. "Blown away" is also another phrase for "Blown Off".
