Story behind the song
This song was written about a friend of mine who had gone through a really bad breakup who was not seeming to realize she was better off without the guy. She told me she just felt so horrible, used, dirty, defeated, and so many other things that were just heart breaking. Honestly, I knew what she meant, because months before, I had gone through that exact same thing with my ex-boyfriend and our breakup. I knew God would turn it all into good. And he did be allowing me to write a song that spoke directly to her. She heard the song, cried, and days later told me the song helped her get over one of the worst things of her life. God's mission accomplished through music.
