our first "single". I think this has a hopeful sound. Check out the sax, too. That's Chris. Who knew?
It's in an unusual rhythm for a rock song, if this can even be called a rock song. It's in 5/4 timing, for the musicians. Anyway, it was written about a week before our first show, but we really liked it and sat down and recorded it. So there you have it.
pretty tickled
hearts are humble
make it up as you go
paint your victim
tiny fractures
setting the pieces to whole
mistaken for careless
stupid and fearless
from cradle to casket
with our eggs in one basket
pretty victim
hearts are broken
who are you fooling but you?
london bridges
seven minutes
how do you find your way home?
blush and bruise
pretty and useless
do you cry for your children
if they don't cry for you?
